This week, we will continue our series, Fasten Your Seatbelts, as we take a wild, bold, unpredictable, unsettling, inspiring, unhindered ride through the book of Acts. I'm especially excited for this Sunday, as Pastor Roger, Pastor Norm and Pastor Avery will be joining me on stage to help unpack Acts 2:42-47. Through these verses, Luke provides for us 4 key values that were critical to the early stages of church life. One question we hope to answer on Sunday is this, "What would it look like if our church looked more like the church in Acts 2?" Please join us either in-person or online at 9:30am.
Also, don't forget to join me in my office at 8:45am for a brief time of prayer before our worship gathering. Note: Our Sunday service continues to meet at 9:30am, with two options for participating.
Note: There will NOT be an after-church zoom gathering this Sunday, April 25th. Also, there will not be a discipleship class this Sunday. However beginning next Sunday, May 2nd at 10:45am, Mark Hester will begin a 4 week study titled, Informed Christianity: Becoming better equipped to make Godly decisions in a world full of conflicting opinions. For more information and to sign-up, please email Mark at mark.f.hester@gmail.com. Don't forget about our Who's Your One? emphasis during our Acts series. The Who's Your One campaign is sponsored by NAMB and is a tool designed to help churches prioritize ownership of the Great Commission as we each intentionally pursue one person with the hope of the gospel. Doug and Roger would love to hear any stories about Who's Your One?. You can share your story by emailing Doug at doug.boyd@parksidefellowship.org. As you continue to pray for and look for opportunities to share Jesus with your one, I want to share two verses with you: "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into the fields." Luke 10:2 "You are the light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father." Matthew 5:14-16 Thanks for keeping Parkside Fellowship a "House of Prayer". See you Sunday. Pastor Doug Comments are closed.
