Great encouragement is found in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. Every resource of God who raised Jesus from the dead is available to any Christ follower who will believe and trust Him. What a blessing when we see God's promises and God's fulfillment laid out in the Scriptures. It's a reminder of Hebrews 10:23, where the author wrote:
"Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise." Whatever we face today, we can face it knowing that our God is faithful! So, as you go through today, tomorrow, next week, next month and next year, ask yourself this question: "Does my life give evidence of an unwavering belief that God has the power to do what He says?". As we prepare to gather together this Sunday, November 14th, I want to remind you of a couple important things. This Sunday at 9:30am, we will gather in the Fireside Room for a time of singing, hearing from God's Word, communion and prayer. After a short break, we will regather at around 10:30am in the Fireside Room, where myself, along with the church council, will share the results of the church health assessment that was completed by a team from the NWBC. During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to share your thoughts or concerns and to ask any questions you have regarding the assessment. For those who are unable to attend in-person, both the worship service at 9:30am and the meeting at 10:30am will be available online through our church website. Also, if you are not able to attend in-person, but would like to share thoughts or ask questions during the meeting, you can do so by texting your question, concern or comment to (503) 803-6181. We will do our very best to answer all the questions that are submitted by text message. As you prepare your hearts for Sunday, pray this song found in Revelation 7:12... Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen." For God's Glory. Pastor Doug Comments are closed.
